Plastic Free July: Reusable Promotional Products

Firstly, choosing reusable and eco-friendly alternatives over plastic is a powerful way to contribute to a healthier planet. By making small changes to our daily routines, we can make a significant impact. Imagine swapping out single-use plastic water bottles for a reusable stainless steel or glass bottle, or trading in disposable plastic shopping bags for durable, washable cloth ones. These seemingly minor adjustments add up over time, reducing the amount of plastic waste that ends up in landfills and oceans. Additionally, investing in reusable products not only saves money in the long run but also supports sustainable practices and encourages others to follow suit. By incorporating these simple changes into our lives, we can make just a small helpful difference.

What is Plastic Free July?

Plastic Free July is a movement that helps us reduce single-use plastic by choosing to refuse single-use plastic throughout the whole month of July. The challenge began at the start of 2011 and has been running every year ever since, and you can start with 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, or simply from now on. This incredible movement reduced 2.1 billion tonnes of waste and recycling including 300 million kilograms of plastic consumption. 86% of the participants have made changes that have become their daily habits and a new way of life.

We’re here to show you some great alternatives to help you ditch the plastic and opt for a more sustainable and reusable option/solution.
Reusable Stainless Straws

An item that is not only durable but also sustainable. This set features 2 straight straws and one bent straw made of durable 304 stainless steel. You can take it anywhere with the convenience of a drawstring cotton pouch and clean it with ease with the brush included. You could also say buy paper straws… let’s be honest, no one likes them.

Reusable Water Bottle

If you’ve never heard of us before, you will very quickly learn we’re huge fans of reusable bottles. With a wide range of bottles with some great stories, there are plenty of alternatives we can offer. Bottles made from recycled plastic, bottles made from glass, aluminum bottles, bottles made primarily from ocean plastic and the list goes on. Maybe it’s time re-think and bin your very last bottle to swap for something that not only looks great but has a wonderful message behind it.

Reusable Tote Bag

The next replacement item on our list is a plastic bag. If you must pay for them anyway, why not get the sustainable option? It’s not uncommon for plastic bags to find their way into the environment where they can be found by animals. It’s also not uncommon for animals to confuse the bags with food resulting in consumption which blocks their digestive process. Reusable bags come in all shapes and sizes but one of our favourite ranges is made from the recycled canvas as well as an AWARE tracer technology which keeps you updated on how many litres of water it saved (the one in the picture saved 902 litres). Not only that but 2% of proceed of each product sold is donated to Water.org.

Reusable Cutlery Set

In a world filled with hundreds and thousands of restaurants and takeaways, a lot of single-use plastic cutlery goes to waste.  Scrap single-use cutlery and swap for something you can bring with you. Not only does bamboo make that option sustainable but also helps reduce plastic waste and help protect our planet. Spoon, fork, knife, straw, and brush are beautifully packed in a canvas travel pouch, so you don’t even need to worry about getting your bag dirty.

Reusable Cleansing Face Pads

We do love a good face skin routine, and a good cleanse is key. What we don’t love are single-use wipes and cotton pads that are sadly not so good for the environment. The great thing about a world full of innovation is that there is always an alternative to something, in this case, its face pads made from bamboo fibre. When you’re done, just throw them in the washing machine and they’re good to go again!

Smart choices don’t always require clever solutions, and clever doesn’t always have to be complicated. Change comes in small steps, and we’re here to help you take the first one.
