Our Team’s Favourite Christmas Traditions
As the year winds down and the diaries finally calm down a bit, we asked the team to share a Christmas tradition they always look forward to. From little habits that make December feel extra festive to moments that bring everyone together, here are some of the team’s tried-and-tested seasonal staples.
Ruby
“One of mine is decorating the tree with a hot chocolate piled high with cream and marshmallows (basic, I know). Every year, I also wander around a little artsy festive market for gifts.”
Paul
“Christmas Day always starts with a celebratory breakfast — usually a Bucks Fizz. It’s the one morning of the year where a festive toast feels perfectly fitting!”
Eliza
“Since we celebrate on Christmas Eve, we start the evening by breaking off a piece of a wafer and sharing wishes for the year ahead — good health, happiness, success. Then we enjoy the meal, raise a glass and open presents.”
Jessie
“We have too many! Every Christmas Eve we put on our matching PJs, load up on party food, toast to those no longer with us and then play board games all night as a family.”
Annie
“We let the kids open one present from their stocking on Christmas Eve. It’s a newer tradition — one that started once they learned the truth about Santa!”
Team Sourcer – Office Tradition
Alongside everyone’s personal traditions, we also have one we share together at Sourcer. Every December, the Christmas songs go on full volume and it’s all hands on deck to decorate two trees, one in the kitchen that’s polished and presentable, and one in the office that’s a little more… creatively chaotic.
It’s become a yearly reminder that coming together, having a laugh, and embracing a bit of festive mess is what really makes the season feel special.

Wrapping Things Up (No Paper Required)
From our team to yours, we hope your Christmas is full of good company, easy laughs, and at least one tradition worth repeating next year. 🎄
See you next year!!! ✨
